Some weddings are extra special—not just because of the beautiful moments, but because of the connection you already have with the family.

A few years ago, I had the honor of photographing Sam’s brother’s wedding. So when Sam and Joe asked me to come back and photograph their wedding, it honestly meant a lot to me.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a family again, years later, and being trusted to document another one of their most important days. I already knew how much family meant to them, and being there again with a camera in my hand felt very familiar and very special.

Sam and Joe’s wedding at Nanina’s in the Park was such a beautiful celebration. From the quiet moments and emotions before the ceremony to the laughter, happy tears, portraits, and incredible celebration that followed, there were so many moments I wanted to hold onto.

As a photographer, I’m always looking for those little moments that happen naturally—the look between two people, a parent’s reaction, a laugh shared between friends, or a split-second expression that says everything without saying a word. Those are the photographs that, years from now, can bring you right back to how you felt that day.

And that’s what I hope this slideshow does for Sam and Joe.
