The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia Wedding – It was an honor to have photographed the wedding of Miss Pennsylvania USA 2011 Amber-Joi to the love of her life Tommy at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia. It was such a gorgeous Spring day for the perfect wedding of this beautiful couple. Amber-Joi looked absolutely stunning in her YSA Makino wedding gown, which was featured on TLC’s Something Borrowed, Something New. From the bride’s wedding bouquet to her reception decor, their wedding was one of the most elegant and glamorous weddings I’ve ever photographed.
We had a blast documenting their wedding story! Check out these images to re-live their wedding day.
This is one of my favorite shots of the day! I saw this beautiful window light perfect for the bride’s portrait before she put on her YSA Makino gown.
Such a cute moment with the flower girl.
One of my favorite shots of the couple from the street of Philadelphia.
The uplighting by Synergetic Sound and Lights combined with the elegance of the table decors are beyond gorgeous!
I have to say, Amber-Joi and Tommy performed one of the best wedding first dances ever. Not to mention Tommy carried her on his shoulder and span her away as she spread her arms to their first dance song – ‘Open Arms ‘ by Journey.
Amber-Joi and her sisters from the Philadelphia Sixers Dancers where they all used to dance for, including Beyonce’s right hand dancer Kimmie Gee (next to her on the left). I remember photographing her with Beyonce during one of her Philadelphia concerts during my newspaper years.
I wish Amber-Joi and Tommy a lifetime of happiness and thank you again for letting me document your special day!

Kenya, Africa – a dream come true for me. When I was working as a photojournalist for the newspaper, It has always been dream to land a jackpot assignment and travel to Africa to photograph a story. That dream never become a reality. I never thought that it will happen now that I am a wedding photographer. Last February we traveled to East Africa to cover the union of an amazing couple from New York City – Linda and Samir.
